Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using PDF Love (“the Platform”), accessible at https://pdflove.online, operated by PDF Love (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using any part of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PDF Love governing your use of the Platform and all tools, features, and content available on it. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of service

PDF Love provides a suite of 150+ free, browser-based document tools including, but not limited to:

PDF organisation tools — merge, split, reorder, rotate, and manage pages.
PDF optimisation tools — compress, flatten, sanitize, and prepare documents for web or print.
PDF conversion tools — convert to and from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images, CAD formats, and more.
PDF editing tools — add text, watermarks, signatures, page numbers, QR codes, and annotations.
PDF security tools — protect, unlock, certify, redact, and remove metadata from documents.
AI-powered tools — summarise, chat with, analyse, and extract intelligence from documents.

We reserve the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or feature at any time without notice.

3. Eligibility and access

You must be at least 13 years of age to use PDF Love. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian consent before using the Platform.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Platform for any user at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use PDF Love only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. You must not use the Platform to:

Upload, process, or distribute files containing illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence, or material that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
Process documents you do not own or do not have the legal right to access, modify, or distribute.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access or scrape the Platform without our prior written consent.
Introduce malware, viruses, or any other malicious code via uploaded files or other means.
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Platform or its servers.
Circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or security mechanisms in place on the Platform.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Platform or any of its tools without explicit written permission.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates these provisions, including removing files, suspending access, and reporting to law enforcement.

5. Your content and files

You retain full ownership of any files you upload to PDF Love. By uploading a file, you grant us a limited, temporary, non-exclusive licence solely to process that file to perform the tool function you have requested.

You represent and warrant that:

You own the files you upload, or have the legal right to upload and process them.
Your files do not contain content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
Processing your files through our Platform does not violate any agreement you have with a third party.

We do not claim ownership of your files. Uploaded files are deleted automatically from our servers after processing is complete. We do not access, read, or use the content of your files for any purpose other than performing the requested operation.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the PDF Love Platform — including but not limited to the design, layout, graphics, logos, tool interfaces, software, code, and text — is the intellectual property of PDF Love or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or exploit any part of the Platform or its content without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

“PDF Love” and associated logos and branding are trademarks of PDF Love. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.

7. Third-party services and links

The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services, tools, or websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services. Links to external sites do not constitute endorsement.

Your use of any third-party service is subject to that service’s own terms and conditions and privacy policy. We encourage you to review these before use.

8. AI-powered tools

Certain features on PDF Love use artificial intelligence, including AI Summarize, AI Chat, Legal Risk AI, Sentiment AI, and Signature Analysis. By using these tools, you acknowledge and agree that:

AI-generated outputs are provided for informational and productivity purposes only.
AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as professional legal, financial, medical, or other specialist advice.
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of any AI-generated output before acting on it.
We are not liable for any decisions made or actions taken based on AI-generated content.

In particular, the Legal Risk AI tool is not a substitute for advice from a qualified legal professional. Always consult a lawyer for matters of legal significance.

9. Disclaimers

PDF Love is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

The Platform will be available uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
The results of using any tool will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your intended purpose.
Any errors or defects in the Platform will be corrected.

You use the Platform entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend maintaining backups of any original files before processing them through the Platform.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PDF Love and its owners, employees, partners, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

Loss of data, files, or documents arising from use of the Platform.
Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities.
Damage to your device or systems caused by files processed through the Platform.
Any reliance on AI-generated outputs or tool results.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for free users, shall be zero).

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PDF Love and its owners, employees, partners, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

Your use of or access to the Platform.
Your violation of these Terms.
Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights.
Any content or files you upload to the Platform.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other operational reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — shall continue to apply.

14. Governing law and disputes
